Most people get involved in nonprofit fundraising and advocacy to make a difference. At CCAH we are honored to work with global organizations making change around the world. We are also proud of the CCAH staff that makes the time to do good in our own back yard.
This year CCAH has started monthly food drives to support the Arlington Food Assistance Center (AFAC). This fall, AFAC had reported a record numbers of families seeking food assistance and CCAH is stepping up to do our part in meeting this need with monthly food drives. From breast cancer 5K walk/runs … to building houses for those in need … to rallying in support a women’s right to choose … to reading with at risk kids … CCAH staffers dedicate their time far beyond the many-hour work week to their community.
In the past year, our generous staff members have donated over 1,000 pounds of food!
For the month of December, we are again holding a toy drive for Trevor's Treasures, a local charity that collects toys to donate to children battling cancer in the DC area.
I am always amazed at the creative energy that permeates from this group of individuals—but I am blown away by their generosity and commitment to others. Happy Holidays to all!
