WHAT:
Full-service direct marketing firm Chapman Cubine Adams + Hussey (CCAH) will participate in the Direct Marketing Association (DMA)’s 2012 Washington Nonprofit Conference March 1-2 in Washington, D.C. CCAH’s president, Kim Cubine, and principal and senior vice president, Jenny Allen, will highlight innovative strategies and creative approaches for fundraising initiatives.
Allen will share insight on creating direct marketing packages that increase donor responses during “I Think I Can... I Know I Can: Beating a Long-Standing Control Package.” The discussion will focus on programs from Freedom from Hunger and Amnesty International USA. Vivianne Potter, managing director for direct response with Amnesty International USA, will provide additional details on the organization’s work with CCAH to revamp its 20-year-old acquisition control package, which increased response rates by more than 50 percent.
Cubine will open the discussion, “Fundraising in a Presidential Election Year: How to Compete for Attention & Dollars.” The session will cover the 2012 presidential election fundraising competition and how organizations can develop strategic campaigns, generate funds and capture the media’s focus throughout the election year. The panel will include AARP’s director of direct response, Steven DelVecchio, and the League of Conservation Voters’ vice president of membership marketing, Vinnie Wishrad.
